MEET THE TEACHERS
Paula Boreham - RAD [Teach Cert.] AISTD [MB] ADA [ASS][BB]
Principal of Mavlow School of Dance, Paula is School Founder Miss Mavis' Daughter, and was taught by Miss Mavis when she started dancing at the age of 3. She did her classes at Excelsior until Miss Mavis stopped teaching there, and then from that point on did all her classes at Mavlow.
Paula continued into her vocational exams with Miss Mavis until she reached the point of needing to do the final teaching exams, which had to be done at Vocational Colleges. Between them, Miss Mavis and Paula decided on Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre. Paula attended part-time, having already taken many of the exams, and also, as with Miss Mavis, Paula's preference was teaching, so she only needed to attend specific classes to gain her teaching qualifications. Whilst at the college, she gained her RAD Teaching Certificate and her Associate ISTD.
Paula had already been assisting Miss Mavis with the classes long before this point, from when the school was opened in West Kirby, and once fully qualified, gradually took over more and more of the running of the School.
